Receives endorsements from stata and municipal police associations
EAST VALLEY - Former Congressman and candidate for Arizona's 5th congressional district Matt Salmon today announced the endorsements from the following statewide and local law enforcement associations:
Arizona Police Association
Arizona Highway Patrol Association
Mesa Police Association
Phoenix Law Enforcement Association
Phoenix Police Sergeants & Lieutenants Association
Jimmy Chavez, president of the Arizona Police Association and the Arizona Highway Patrol Association, released the following statement: "Integrity is everything to law enforcement professionals. Matt Salmon has shown time and time again that his integrity is above reproach."
Sergeant Ryan Russell, president of the Mesa Police Association, released the following statement: "Matt Salmon is the person we need to send to Washington in order for police agencies to sufficiently protect and serve Arizona citizens."
Joe Clure, president of the Phoenix Law Enforcement, released the following statement: "Matt Salmon has been a longtime friend and supporter of those who serve and protect. He has held as a priority the idea that the role law enforcement professionals play in keeping our communities and cities safe is vital to Arizona and this nation."
David Adams, president of the Phoenix Police Sergeants and Lieutenants Association, released the following statement: "Police professionals respect Matt for many reasons. Chief among them are his honesty and willingness to really listen."

About Matt Salmon
Matt Salmon was first elected to the United States Congress in 1994 and served until 2000, honoring his term limit pledge. A proud conservative, Salmon was rated in the top five among all 535 members of the House and Senate by Citizen's Against Government Waste for all six years he was in office. He is a lifetime member of the NRA with an A+ rating and also earned a 100% rating by the National Right to Life. He was also the proud recipient of the American Cancer Society's "Top National Elected Official" award.

Salmon has also been endorsed by South Dakota Senator John Thune, Oklahoma Senator Tom Coburn, Pennsylvania Senator Pat Toomey, Congressman Darrell Issa (CA-49), and former Florida Governor Jeb Bush.
